Week of January 20th


Reading: We will continue our poetry unit this week. We will be focusing on writing our own limericks. We will be studying a variety of genres of poems and keeping a poetry notebook.

 
Writing/Language:  
We will finish our action plan write up and start making our poster presentation to share with the class how we changed the world!
 
Math:
We will continue in our unit on fractions this week by converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions and adding/subtracting mixed numbers. We will also work on word problems involving fractions.
 
Science/Social Studies:
In science we will begin our unit on magnetism.
In social studies we will finish and review battles of the American Revolution in preparation for our test Friday.
