Week of February 2nd


Reading: We will FINISH our poetry unit this week. We will be focusing on comprehension with a variety of poems and finishing our poetry notebook. Students should be practicing their Poetry Café poem EVERY NIGHT!!!

 
Writing/Language:  
In preparation for the ACT Aspire writing test, we will continue looking at on-demand writing while presenting our action plan projects to the class! We will also be studying homophones.
 
Math:
We will continue in our unit on fractions this week by multiplying whole numbers and fractions.  
Science/Social Studies:
In science we will begin our astronomy unit by discussing the inner and outer planets.
In social studies we will begin our unit on government by comparing the Articles of
Confederation to the Constitution.
 
 
 

Anchor Down these Assessments/Due Dates

  • Poetry notebooks due Friday- some students may have to finish at home
  • Be practicing for our Poetry Café- Students will present poems FEB. 13!!
