Feature Articles

 

First, we looked at examples of feature articles and created a noticing chart. These were things we wanted to include in our own feature articles.

 

 Students used their science books, library books, and the Internet to find information about their planet.

Next, students used their research to fill out their graphic organizer. They also used this as their rough draft and edited on this sheet. Students organized their information into categories. They included at least 3 subheadings in their feature article, along with graphics.

 

 

After editing, it was time for their final drafts!

They may look like they're sleeping, but they are just working really hard. :)
